See that picture above - the Redhawks melted faster than that butter in the pan in the second half against Pepperdine and as you will read a few blogs below to "Willy the Wave." - I really didn't want to lose to Willy. So we shoot 50% from the field, 53% (thanks Sporty) from the arc and 100% from the free throw line in the first half and are down 41-40 ... then the frying pan heats up in the wrong direction and we shoot 28% from the field, 25% from behind the arc and 50% from the foul line - ugh. To add salt to the melting butter they didn't even play their best player (hurt wrist) -ugh. Pepperdine and the old mascot returned last year Willy the Wave had 26 points off SU turnovers against our measly 7. Willy the Wave 84 - SU 64
OK regroup time - we come back home for two games this up coming week Thursday against Eastern Washington (revenge game - I'm bringing the Red Converse) then Saturday against Cal State Northridge. Let's rally the troops - get behind the team. This ain't no picnic and I don't need any more melted butter on my corn!
Willy, I am sorry I trashed talked you - but you are still ugly, yet you got the "W" so see you next time.
